Watch KonoSuba – God’s blessing on this wonderful world!! Season 2 English Subbed :
After dying a laughable and pathetic death on his way back from buying a game, high school student and recluse Kazuma Satou finds himself sitting before a beautiful but obnoxious goddess named Aqua. She provides the NEET with two options: continue on to heaven or reincarnate in every gamer’s dream—a real fantasy world! Choosing to start a new life, Kazuma is quickly tasked with defeating a Demon King who is terrorizing villages. But before he goes, he can choose one item of any kind to aid him in his quest, and the future hero selects Aqua. But Kazuma has made a grave mistake—Aqua is completely useless!

Unfortunately, their troubles don’t end here; it turns out that living in such a world is far different from how it plays out in a game. Instead of going on a thrilling adventure, the duo must first work to pay for their living expenses. Indeed, their misfortunes have only just begun!

When Kazuma Satou died, he was given two choices: pass on to heaven or be revived in a fantasy world. After choosing the new world, the goddess Aqua tasked him with defeating the Demon King, and let him choose any weapon to aid him. Unfortunately, Kazuma chose to bring Aqua herself and has regretted the decision ever since then.

Not only is he stuck with a useless deity turned party archpriest, the pair also has to make enough money for living expenses. To add to their problems, their group continued to grow as more problematic adventurers joined their ranks. Their token spellcaster, Megumin, is an explosion magic specialist who can only cast one spell once per day and refuses to learn anything else. There is also their stalwart crusader, Lalatina “Darkness” Dustiness Ford, a helpless masochist who makes Kazuma look pure in comparison.

Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! 2 continues to follow Kazuma and the rest of his party through countless more adventures as they struggle to earn money and have to deal with one another’s problematic personalities. However, things rarely go as planned, and they are often sidetracked by their own idiotic tendencies.

Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! 2 adapts volumes 3 and 4 of Natsume Akatsuki’s light novel series of the same name.

Watch KonoSuba – God’s blessing on this wonderful world!! English Subbed : Following an untimely and embarrassing death, Kazuma Satō, a Japanese teenage shut-in NEET, meets a goddess named Aqua, who offers to reincarnate him in a parallel world with MMORPG elements, where he can go on adventures and battle monsters. An anime television adaptation by Studio Deen aired on Tokyo MX between January 14, 2016, and March 16, 2016; later broadcasting on eight other networks and several video on demand streaming networks. The series was simulcast by Crunchyroll in several regions such as North America, and by AnimeLab in Australia. The series was directed by Takaomi Kanasaki and written by Makoto Uezu with character designs by Koichi Kikuta. An original video animation (OVA) was bundled with the ninth light novel of KonoSuba in June 2016.The anime’s opening theme is “Fantastic Dreamer” by Machico while the ending theme is “Chīsana Bōken-sha” (ちいさな冒険者, lit.”Little Adventurer”) performed by Sora Amamiya, Rie Takahashi, and Ai Kayano.

The series was animated by Koichi Kikuta and Momoka Komatsu, with the former working on odd-numbered episodes and the latter on even-numbered. While Komatsu’s character designs closely resembled those of the light novels and had more attractive appearances, Kikuta based his designs on children’s shows like Pokémon as he felt KonoSuba’s story was similar to those found in such shows.

A second season premiered on January 12, 2017.The second season’s opening theme is “Tomorrow” by Machico, and the ending theme is “Ouchi ni Kaeritai” (お家に帰りたい, lit.”Want to Go Home”) by Amamiya, Takahashi, and Kayano.A second OVA was bundled with the twelfth volume of KonoSuba in July 2017. Konosuba is the formula to escape RE:Zero depression

I went into the show fresh off the end of watching RE:Zero. That’s a tough act to follow especially considering the fact that i was slightly depressed at the prospect of waiting a whole year or more fore more RE:Zero content.

Konosuba didn’t grab me at first but slowly i realised it was exactly the show i needed to watch now. On the outside it looks similar to RE:Zero . The protagonist is a Japanese otaku that gets teleport-ed to another realm to partake in an amazing adventure surrounded by great potential Waifus. The similarities end here however.

Konosuba is the cure for RE:Zero depression:

The way konosuba handled the narrative was completely different . The anime is genuinely funny but not too deep. The characters are likeable but mostly feel real. The tone for the show is always one of light hearted joy. I appreciated this after escaping the absolute torment of RE:Zero

What i found most interesting too is that none of the large quantity of female protagonists became a love interest for Kazuma  ( Our otaku protagonist). Instead they form functional relationships with no forced romance. I really appreciated that too.

The two greatest criticism of the show is that it was way too short and the time skips were a bit harsh. I don’t feel cheated as those meagre 10 episodes covered lots of character development. It also covered lots of world building. The time skips however seemed to skip the introduction of important characters. they had me going back to check if i skipped an episode. I Found this  to be  very disconcerting.

Konosuba almost comes of as a slice of live anime in terms of the tone. There however is an overarching plot which i hope to see more of in the future. More jokes and more joy ahead hopefully.
